A Winter's Day Forage (In the Dark of December)
27 cm x 25.5 cm
Collage of painted and vintage papers.
This artwork is sold unmounted and unframed and is in my art sale!
This image is part of a small series which celebrates the delights of the winter season. Every season rewards us with gifts, and even in those dark winter months, we can still find lots of interesting and pretty things, that can be used to decorate and brighten up your home.
Cyclamen with their beautifully patterned, silver and green foliage, and delicate curled-up petals in shades of pink, purple, crimson red and white, are a favourite natural decoration of mine at Christmas time and, when planted in the garden, these plants are also key nectar and pollen sources for solitary bees, hoverflies and moths.
