SOLD OUT! Gold Dust III.
55 cm x 48 cm
This small box construction has a bee hive that is made from recycled card and honeybees painted with gold acrylic, the gold representing their worth to the world.
Honeybees are the world’s most important pollinator of food crops. One-third of the food consumed each day relies on pollination mainly by bees.
There are many threats to our precious bees one of which is the use of toxic pesticides. Whilst pesticides are designed to kill pests, due to their intense toxicity they are having an adverse effect on other insects too, including bees. Neonicotinoids in particular cause bees a great deal of harm, as they are ingested by bees when they pollinate the plant. This can seriously damage the bee’s central nervous system.
This pop-out piece will make the perfect gift for a beekeeper!
3D Box Construction.
This artwork is sold unmounted and unframed.
